Advisement!

All areas, academic and non-academic should be encouraged to develop or enhance their web presence!  Potential students and the parents of potential and current students are "visiting" our campus everyday, via the Internet and through or web site. (www.famu.edu).!

Visit the site and access the quality of the information, which your site reflects.  We have persons in place to assist you if you wish to create or enhance your site.  Email us at UCSCweb@famu.edu.

The FACTS project is a campus-wide initiative.  Its purpose is to develop a statewide interactive system, which allows perspective and current students to visit State University System institutions and State Community Colleges via the world wide web!  The FAMU Web site is now the very first impression that many students and parents have of FAMU.  Is your area well represented?

Web enhancement is critical to the quality of both the FAMU web site as well as the FACTS web site.  Please do not wait for the implementation dates for your area to enhance your web pages.

If the answer is no, the UCSC is here to help you!  Please contact us at UCSCweb.famu.edu.  Web pages, which have been created or enhanced in the either area or using the assistance of the UCSC web team, will be forwarded to Mr. Greg Speights of the UPA for uploading to the University Web Site.

FACTS Update/Status

·        July 1, 2000 is the deadline for implementation of Phase Two - Financial Aid.

·        Web enhancements for all areas should be completed prior to July 1, 2000!

·        Training will be offered to members of the FACTS expert group in HTML and Internet Browsing.  Monies to support this training opportunity are allowable through the FACTS Memorandum of Understanding.  Training will not be for entire or unit groups.  These sessions will be extended to the current FACTS group members.

All web page concepts/drafts can be created in Microsoft Word, Word Perfect, etc.  Copies should be submitted in both disk and hardcopy to the UCSC web team. If by chance your area does not have internet capabilities, please fax a note to the UCSC web team at 561-2410.

The meeting adjourned at 10:30 am

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, 10am in the UCSC lab.
